The following are the materials that you will need in making your very own Tinker Bell costume:

* Patters for tunic and fairy wing
* Wire (Thin one)
* Forest green material
* White or purple lace
* Stocking like material

Instructions:

Step 1 – Tinker Bell’s dress

First, you will need to create your Tinker Bell dress. If you have seen the movie Tinker Bell, she is seen wearing a long Tunic as her dress. You can always go with any color, however, if you truly want to follow said pattern, then forest green is definitely the color that you must use.

The dress must fit snugly at the waist (with length preferably to the mid thigh). While, the bottom of Tinker Bell’s tunic must have rough edges, the sleeves of the dress must be short and with the same rough edges. (If you are unsure of your pattern, you can always go online and look for more patterns).

Step 2 – Tinker Bell’s Wings

After choosing the pattern for your wing, you must cut and secure your lacy or stocking like material to the wire. Bear in mid that the wire that you must use, must be able to support your chosen wings material. Secure all the rough edges of the wires, to avoid pinching the back of the wing’s wearer.

Carefully attach your wings to the back of the finished dress. If you feel like it is not strong enough, you can always use hooks for the shoulders, thus, acting like a second piece. Do not confuse butterfly wings with fairy wings.

You can complete your Tinker Bell costume with ballet shoes; just ensure that you choose the same color as your dress, so they can compliment each other. For the hairstyle, you can always put your hair or your child’s hair in a bun, or just leave it down. To finish off your Tinker Bell attire, you can easily add makeup and glitters for a more fairy like glow.
